FASHION SHOW “WILD”
As part of the TR:15 Design- und Kulturtage Trier, a massive Fashion Show was organized in the Messehalle Trier. Fortunately I have gathered some experience in other events and projects, especially with some of the students, so visiting this event seemed like a logical next step. The audience was enourmous and after 4 hours of walking around, sitting, kneeling, standing up and constantly torturing the shutters of my cameras (two full frame bodies with 35mm and 70-200mm lenses) I felt quite exhausted – but it was totally worth it.

I was extremely pleased & lucky to get passes for the “catwalk” area as well as backstage. When photographing a fashion show, remaining at the same position can become both boring for the photographer but also the viewer. Who wants to see 200 photographs from the same angle, right? So I kept moving between various positions and caught some glimpses of the people getting ready for their next performance. Emotionwise you got the whole rollercoaster – from frayed nerves to pure relief and tears of joy.
